This lightweight, agile sport-tourer designed for riders who want real-world performance, comfort, and versatility without unnecessary bulk. Built around Yamaha’s proven CP2 platform, it delivers a perfect balance of everyday usability and weekend excitement, making it equally at home in city traffic, on fast A-roads, or on longer touring rides.
Power comes from a 689cc parallel twin engine producing around 73 horsepower and 68Nm of torque. The delivery is smooth, strong, and very usable in the midrange, giving the Tracer 7 excellent acceleration and effortless overtaking ability without needing to constantly rev the engine. With a top speed of approximately 118mph, it has more than enough performance for motorway cruising and spirited riding when the road opens up.
Practicality is one of its strongest features. The seat height is adjustable between 830mm and 850mm, allowing riders to tailor the riding position for comfort and confidence. Despite its touring capability, the bike remains manageable with a wet weight of around 203kg, making it easy to manoeuvre at low speeds and forgiving for newer or returning riders.
Running costs are also a major advantage, with the Tracer 7 returning around 65–70mpg depending on riding style. Combined with its 18-litre fuel tank, this gives a strong real-world touring range, meaning fewer stops and more time enjoying the ride.
